our strategy to 1000 twitter followers

“No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative... it gets the people going!” One of my favorite Will Ferrell quotes in Blades of Glory, no thanks to being sampled in Jay-Z/Kanye ‘Paris’ track.

Our current strategy of following other account followers will not be sustainable. It looks cheap on our part. We want to change that. We want to focus on twitter interactions instead of our following, follower ratio (this is just a number). 

We want to provide content consistently with blog posts. 

We want to provide entertainment with witty photos/remarks. 

We want placeholders to be on everybody’s mind all the time. Tweeting out  more than once a day. 

Turning strangers into friends. Friends into community members. Community members to potential collectors.

It got me going when I first saw a reply. It got me going when I saw a funny remark from a follower on our picture. Just recently, a collaborator wants to do a shoutout (coming soon). These kind of interactions are what will get to our next level on 1000 followers on Twitter.

Community first mentality will be our marketing. Not just exposure.

Placeholders will get the people going!
